Agne Sumskyte was born and raised in Lithuania, where she fell in love with European history, art, culture, fashion, and architecture.

While still being a primary school student, Agne enrolled in Antanas Martinaitis school of arts. It was then when she decided to pursue design as her career. After few years in, Agne have passed the audition and joined Kaunas Art Gymnasium, one of the most prestigious art schools in her home country.

The school conducted lectures on life drawing, painting, sculpting, textile, design, ceramics, graphics, and even the history of art and architecture. These creative lectures gave her a strong foundation for her future projects, as she took Textile and Fashion Design as her major in the final years.

After graduation, Agne moved to New Zealand and continued her career in fashion by working as a stylist and accepting private costume commissions. At the same time, she started a new educational path, a bachelor’s degree in architecture. And after that, a Master of Architecture Studies.
